Large late 19th century living room mirror from Lombardy. Made of carved Swiss pine, the shield-shaped frame is embellished with rich carvings applied to its edges; the cymatium is carved with opposing scrolls on which branches with flowers and fruit grow, running down the sides; in the centre is the carved face of a possible Armida with a feathered crest; a small carving in the lower band. Missing parts and restorations, including two small feet added later on the base. The entire surface is gilded in gouache. Mirror, fireplace, frames, frame, small mirrors, mirror, mirrors, wall lamp.
