Description

Print run of 599 numbered copies (ours is number 556) of the complete reproduction of the Egerton Manuscript 943, preserved at the British Library in London. The Egerton 943 manuscript is the oldest fully illuminated manuscript codex of Dante's Commedia, illustrated by 253 miniatures and drawings, dating back to around 1340. The production of the manuscript can be attributed to a writing and illumination environment located between Emilia and Veneto: some scholars attribute the miniatures to the Master of the Antiphonary of Padua
