In the Preface the author of this curious booklet explains his intent: "Everyone has seen him as a general, consul, emperor and king in twenty years: I want to show him only the Genius of War in a year". In an ideal calendar of 365 days of a year, all the battles fought by Napoleon's armies between 1793 and 1815 are inserted. Unfortunately, the two panels in the front door and at the end of the volume that represented Napoleon's monument in Ajaccio and his tomb are missing. to Sant'Elena.
