Mechanical harpoon towing log/"Harpoon towing log" model A2, made of brass and porcelain, without stabiliser, fitted with three dials on the porcelain panel, of which the first records miles up to 100, the second records units up to 10 miles, the third records quarter miles. The four rotor blades are stamped with the anchor motif and the initials T.W. The design details and features suggest a production date around 1880.

19th Century / 1801 - 1900

Console in French neoclassical style with top in breccia, carved in all its parts and partially highlighted in gold; lion feet. The two front legs have lion heads carved at the point of connection with the undertop band. Made of oak.

Eastern Europe, Early XIX Century

Sideboard of Eastern European production, supported by plinth feet supporting uprights in the shape of tapered pilasters to frame a pair of retractable doors, the internal chest of drawers is missing; in the undercounter band there is a central drawer flanked by two pairs of overlapping drawers. In walnut, it is decorated with threads and inlays in maple and various essences, marble top; pine interior.

Landscape with Figures

Oil painting on canvas. Signed lower left. Achille Vertunni was born and trained artistically in Naples, but then moved to Rome where, in his mature age, his studio in Via Margutta was a point of reference for many Italian and foreign critics and artists (D'Annunzio, De Sanctis , Franz Listz, to name a few) and was frequented by the nobility and politicians of the time, figures of the Risorgimento and visitors of the "Grand Tour". His first themes were inspired by historical events, but he then dedicated himself to landscape which, from the seventies, became the almost exclusive subject of his paintings. Its sunsets in the Roman countryside and in the Pontine Marshes are characteristic, sometimes animated by butteri and herds of buffalo. This painting shows two figures in traditional Lazio clothing, a couple of farmers resting near a small votive chapel along the road; on the right the coastal landscape opens up along the Tiber, at the bottom of which the profile of Rome stands out, with the Dome of St. Peter and Castel Sant'Angelo. Above all, the typically romantic atmosphere of a sunset, with its play of soft, pink lights. The painting, relined, is presented in a period frame.

France Late XIX Century

Oval neorenaissance extendable table in silver fir, France late XIX century. Leafy carvings, rosettes and heads of mythical animals from which a group of fruits emerges. Curl-shaped legs culminating in acorn-shapes feet. Silver fir structural elements.

Naples, Mid XIX Century

Console in mahogany and Louis Philippe mahogany slab with raised tilting mirror, Naples mid-19th century. Shaped white marble top, drawer in the band, legs connected by cross-piece. Richly carved with rocaille-style motifs, including curls, shells and leaf elements. Poplar interior.

Lombardy early 19th century

Bedside table veneered in maple, inlaid with various essences on the top and front to form curls and equally edged on the sides. Openable top and front to simulate two drawers without chain of which only the first can be opened "with door" concealing the internal lining in fabric. Chest of drawers in mahogany veneer and mahogany feather on the front, Naples third quarter 19th century. White marble top, front with four drawers, one of which in the band, uprights at forty-five degrees with pilasters decorated with a rococo style element, carved floral and leaf festoons. Lower plinth section. Poplar interior.

Group of three majolica bowls. On the brim polychrome decoration with geometric pattern; at the bottom of the bird cave there is a typical decoration of the manufacture.
